Privacy notice

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Smart Management (Lincolnshire) Limited, company number 17507539, with registered office at 47 Lord Street, Gainsborough, DN21 2DD, is the controller of information received for its own services. This notice explains how the company uses information received through enquiries about our practical household and property support services. For privacy questions, email info@smart-lincs.co.uk.

Information you choose to provide

When you contact us, you may provide your name, email address, service postcode, preferred visit pattern and a description of the practical tasks you need help with. Please avoid sending sensitive medical, financial or identity information in an initial enquiry.

How the website enquiry helper works

The enquiry helper prepares a message in your browser and lets you open it in your email app or copy it. It does not submit a form to us, confirm a booking or take a payment. We receive your enquiry only when you send the email. The helper does not intentionally save your enquiry in browser storage.

Why we use enquiry information

We use the information to respond to you, assess the requested tasks and location, discuss availability and prepare a quotation. Where you ask us to take steps towards a service agreement, we use the information for that purpose. We may also retain necessary correspondence for legitimate business administration, service quality and handling queries or disputes, and where applicable to meet legal obligations.

Lawful bases

We rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or performing a contract, where applicable (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries, securing systems and managing business correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)); and compliance with relevant legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). We do not use this enquiry helper to sign you up for marketing.

Who may receive the information

Our email and hosting providers may process information as part of delivering their services. If a proposed service requires a delivery partner, we will explain the arrangement and any necessary information sharing before agreeing it with you. We do not sell enquiry information.

International processing

Email and hosting services may involve processing outside the UK. Where we use such providers, we must ensure an appropriate lawful transfer arrangement applies, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangement relevant to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up or manage an agreed service. Relevant records may need to be retained longer for accounting, legal or dispute-handling purposes. We review records and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed. You may ask us about the records we hold.

Cookies and technical information

The website application does not add advertising trackers, analytics cookies or local-storage tracking. For more information, read our cookies notice. Our hosting and account providers may process technical connection information and use necessary security or sign-in technologies under their own policies.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to its use, or request a copy in a portable format. Contact us first with any privacy concern. You can also raise a concern with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Enquiries about someone else

If you contact us for a family member or another person, share only what is necessary and ensure they know about the enquiry where appropriate. We will discuss their wishes, consent and communication arrangements before agreeing support.
